The most beautiful of all flowers

FRENCH BOKEH PHOTOGRAPHY  {awesome gallery link.}

Bonjour Creatifs!

J'dore {I adore} Bokeh! Yes, love the city of Paris, romance & that eccentric photographic blur which truly makes my heArt sing! Bokeh is a bucket list technique that I'd really like to get into.

These gifted photographers have lots more work showcased so go to my flickr site for an up close, detailed look!

Some Super Quick Videos!

DEPTH OF FIELD QUICK TUTORIAL - After reviewing several Bokeh tutorials on You Tube, this one explains how to attain a blurred background quickly & clearly.

BOKEH SLIDESHOW - An enjoyable short video with a sampling of very pretty Bokeh photographs!

Per Wikipedia ".... The term comes from the Japanese word boke (暈け or ボケ), which means "blur" or "haze", or boke-aji (ボケ味), the "blur quality". The Japanese term boke is also used in the sense of a mental haze or senility.

Bokeh is often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it is often associated with such areas. However, bokeh is not limited to highlights; blur occurs in all out-of-focus regions of the image.

In photography, bokeh (pronounced /bɒkɛ/) is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light." Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye, while others produce blurring that is unpleasant or distracting—"good" and "bad" bokeh, respectively. Bokeh occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions ...."

A little luck capturing a Bokeh style photo of my son playing golf.  This is the cover of the SPORT Club Golf* ALBUM.

  3. Gorgeous photograph! I too am a fan of Bokeh photography. Some photographers are able to create such magic.

    Finally playing catchup everywhere. I know it's been forever. This look is so you! Congratulations on your store too. And I adore the way you set up your color challenges. Totally love it.

    I smiled reading your New Year's list. Gardening.....I do believe we're going to be simplifying things drastically here too. I wanted cottage style, but I simply cannot keep up with it, which means it ends up looking just horrid. I'll have to keep all my roses though. Gonna be busy, busy, busy!

    Hope you stayed warm last week. Talk about some wild weather. 70's to windchills below zero. Let's hope we don't repeat that too many more times this year, eh?

    Keep on rocking out your digital wonders and thank you for the links to the photography tutorials. Definitely something fun to learn!

    hugs!
